I'm Jared Caldwin, 43, living in the North Cedar residential area. I'm one of the firemen in Cougar Ridge, although that mostly involves saving cats from trees and flushing the smoke out of the Cheshire roughly once a month--whenever they forget one of their signature pies is in the oven or some teenager closes early before taking it out. I support my wife Louise and two sons Derek and Ryan, who, although they don't seem to realize it, are my world.

I'll admit that I struggle with the bottle, but that's something I've been dealing with for a long time thanks to my father. It's really hardly an issue at all, I believe, unless something really, really stressful comes along. But seriously, after all that craziness in the past...there's no way anything at a lower caliber than that could drive me back into the bottle...
